Starting today, Starbucks will serve limited-time holiday beverage Irish Cream Cold Brew at participating locations in the United States and Canada. The beverage features Starbucks’ new Irish Cream syrup that is blended with cold brew coffee, poured over ice, and topped with a frothy vanilla cream foam dusted with cocoa—which can be ordered vegan by requesting plant-based milk, VegNews has confirmed with Starbucks. Erin Marinan, a product developer for Starbucks, developed the beverage as a nod to her childhood tradition of making Irish cream at home during the holidays. “It pairs so well with cold brew because of the chocolate flavor in the Irish cream and the cocoa notes from the coffee,” Marinan said. “I think about that customer who’s in the middle of work or shopping, and this will help get them into the holiday spirit for the rest of the day.” Canadian customers can also sample a warm version of the new beverage by ordering an Irish Cream Americano with their choice of plant-based milk.
