Vegan food brand Daiya Foods will expand its frozen burrito line to include two new breakfast burritos. The new flavors are loaded with vegan egg-style scramble and Daiya’s reformulated Cutting Board Cheddar Style cheese. While the official names of the flavors have yet to be revealed, one style features meatless beef crumbles, Canadian Maple syrup, and seasoned potatoes, while the other includes black beans, jalapeño peppers, sautéed onion, poblano salsa, and tender potatoes. The new flavors join Daiya’s existing frozen burrito line—which is ready to eat in two minutes—and features regionally inspired flavors such as Santa Fe, Tex-Mex, and Tuscan. The new breakfast burrito flavors are expected to roll out to national retailers in fall 2019.
