Vegan snack brand HIPPEAS recently debuted two new flavors of its chickpea-based snacks: cheesy vegan Nacho Vibes and salt-dusted Himalayan Happiness. “Nacho Vibes is definitely ‘nacho’ average cheese puff—this snack rivals the mainstream versions, but is made with ingredients that today’s consumer really wants; organic, gluten-free, and plant-based,” HIPPEAS CEO Joseph Serventi said. “We’ve been working hard on perfecting these plant-based innovations with superior nutritional profiles. We’re thrilled that our fans will get to try our new flavors and encourage everyone to give ‘peas’ a chance.” In 2017, DiCaprio invested an undisclosed amount for a minority stake in HIPPEAS, which has since raised $10 million in capital funding to expand its snack brand. The new flavors join the brand’s existing options (such as Vegan White Cheddar, Bohemian Barbecue, and Sriracha Sunshine) which are currently distributed by nationwide retailers, including Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, Kroger, and select locations of Target, Costco, and Walmart.
