Today, Unilever launched two vegan ice cream flavors to its Magnum brand at retailers nationwide. The ice cream bars (Magnum Non-Dairy Classic and Magnum Non-Dairy Almond) are certified vegan by Vegan Action and feature vanilla ice cream made from coconut oil and pea protein, and are dipped in Belgian chocolate made from ethically sourced cocoa beans certified by the Rainforest Alliance. “This week we’re thrilled to bring our next-level chocolate to the vegan and dairy-free market,” Leslie Miller, Marketing Director of Ice Cream at Unilever, said. “This is our first launch in plant-based indulgence and we can’t wait to share with Magnum ice cream fans.” The vegan Magnum ice cream bars were previously only available in the United Kingdom and Australia.
