Modern Table, makers of gluten-free pasta and meal kits, recently debuted a new line of vegan mac and cheeses at Whole Foods Markets nationwide. The “Complete Protein” line features 16 grams of plant-based protein per serving and is available in three flavors: Southwest, Classic Cheddar Style, and White Cheddar Style. The gluten-free pasta is made from three ingredients—a blend of lentils, peas, and rice—and comes with newly developed dairy-free cheese sauces. The shelf-stable mac and cheese products retail for $4 per carton. Vegan options continue to expand at Whole Foods with the TTLA sandwich now available at its deli counter nationwide, DIY almond milk machines installed at select East Coast locations, and Koia’s vegan and keto high-fat smoothies gracing its shelves across the United States.
