Starting September 15, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum—home of NFL team the Los Angeles Rams—will be serving vegan burgers made with Lightlife Plant-Based Burger patties. Thanks to a partnership between the Rams and Lightlife Foods, the plant-based patty will be promoted in a variety of ways, including in-store at retailers Albertsons, Vons, and Pavilions as part of the Rams Game On! Program—where customers can win prizes, including game tickets and player autographs, with the purchase of vegan burgers. “The Los Angeles Rams strive to offer a variety of options for our fans,” Jason Griffiths, Vice President of Partnerships for the Los Angeles Rams, said. “Partnering with Lightlife was a natural fit in enhancing game days for our fans.” Lightlife transitioned its brand portfolio to be completely vegan in 2017 and, in May, launched its Plant-Based Burger and Plant-Based Grounds at retailers such as Safeway, Vons, Wegmans, and many others across the United States, along with more than 3,400 retailers in Canada. “Lightlife is proud to be the first-ever plant-based brand to partner with an NFL team,” Dan Curtin, President and CEO of Lightlife parent company Greenleaf Foods, said. “Here at Lightlife we are committed to offering Los Angeles Rams fans a delicious plant-based option that they can enjoy from tailgate to touchdown.”
