Starting this month, vegan brand Ripple Foods will debut its new line of Creamy Yogurt Alternative at retailers nationwide, including Target. The new yogurts are made from a base of Ripple’s proprietary Ripptein (a pea protein derivative) and will be available in Original, Vanilla, Strawberry, Peach, and Blueberry flavors. Founded in 2016, Ripple released its first yogurt line, Greek Yogurt Alternative, in late 2017, along with pea protein-based half-and-half. “As more consumers look to add plant-based and dairy-free foods to their diet, it’s important that they have options that not only taste delicious, but are also full of high-quality nutrition,” Adam Lowry, Ripple Foods Co-Founder and Co-CEO, said. “We’re proud to launch a product that supports our food philosophy of making plant-based foods delicious, and we can’t wait for consumers to try our new Creamy Yogurt Alternative.” In addition to reformulating its yogurt line, Ripple released new versions of its liquid milk products, which now contain less sugar, more vitamin B12, and feature new flavors infused with “superfoods” such as açaí, turmeric, and matcha. The company plans to launch new products later this year and throughout 2020.
