This week, family chain restaurant Denny’s added the meatless Beyond Burger to its menu at all of its more than 1,700 locations across the United States and Canada. The new burger features a vegan Beyond Meat patty that is topped with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, pickles, American cheese, and All-American sauce and is served on a multigrain bun—the cheese and sauce are not vegan. In October, Denny’s first tested the burger at its Los Angeles locations and “treated” guests to a free Beyond Burger, with the purchase of a beverage, on Halloween. To promote its expanded launch, Denny’s will run a similar promotion for a free burger at participating locations on January 30 while supplies last. “We were thrilled to be able to answer the call from our guests to add more plant-based protein options to our menu when we launched the Beyond Burger in Los Angeles at the end of last year. The positive response we received validated our decision to partner with Beyond Meat to introduce our guests to a plant-based option,” Denny’s Chief Brand Officer John Dillon said. “We could not be more excited to add the Beyond Burger to our permanent lineup of delicious, affordable menu options as we continue to innovate and expand our menu to meet evolving dietary preferences.”
