Drink mix brand Swiss Miss is debuting its first non-dairy hot chocolate mix. While its products have always contained whey and nonfat milk, the new Non-Dairy Hot Cocoa Mix relies on coconut milk for its creamy texture. One box of the non-dairy Swiss Miss will contain six packets of cocoa mix and retail for approximately $4. Swiss Miss parent company Conagra announced the new flavor at the Consumer Analyst Group of New York (CAGNY) conference earlier this month and details about when and where it will launch were not disclosed. In 2018, Conagra debuted vegan Reddi-Wip whipped cream in both almond milk and coconut milk options. In recent months, other traditional food and beverage companies have created plant-based versions of their classic products, including Nestlé’s Nesquik brand which now offers vegan chocolate oat milk under its new GoodNes brand.
