Burger Patch—Sacramento, CA’s first all-vegan burger concept—has pledged to donate 100-percent of its profits through March to the #OURSacramento Save Our Restaurants fund. The fund, which was established in partnership with the City of Sacramento, has so far raised more than $20,000 to help save local, independently owned restaurants during the coronavirus outbreak. “Our community is who we are. We feel grateful that we’re able to continue to serve during this time when so many others have been forced to close for circumstances out of their control,” Burger Patch co-founder Phillip Horn told VegNews. “If we’re able to make any profit as a result, we want to return that to our industry neighbors so that they might get back on their feet and join us again doing what we all love soon. It’s our way of delivering a little extra kindness with every meal.”

The initiative is part of Burger Patch’s “Patch Match” program, which donates a portion of every burger sold to a select charity each month. Burger Patch is currently operating with no-contact takeout and delivery options only with reduced hours.
