On April 11 and April 12, animal-rights group Mercy For Animals (MFA) will host “Voices of Compassion,” a two-day concert it will stream on its Facebook page, and posted to Twitter and Instagram, beginning at 5pm EST. The concert will feature more than 30 musicians who are all animal-rights activists, including Grammy Award winners Joss Stone and Mýa; Latin Grammy winner Sie7e; Broadway’s Frozen star Ryan McCartan; Fuller House star Juan Pablo Di Pace; American Idol star Catie Turner; singer-songwriter Rain Phoenix, and many more.

MFA created the event in an effort to bring the animal-rights community together during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Mercy For Animals is proud to collaborate with talented and compassionate artists to inspire hope as we navigate this challenging and uncertain time,” MFA President Leah Garcés said.

The concert is the latest effort of MFA to help rebuild a sense of community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last month, MFA gave away 2,000 vegan meals through its “Plants to the People” initiative to food insecure people in Brooklyn, NYC—purchased from local restaurants to help them stay afloat—in partnership with hunger-relief organization Community Solidarity and vegan Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.
