Vegan protein cookie brand Lenny & Larry’s recently partnered with United Parcel Service (UPS) to offer a “Donate to Drivers” program as a symbol of gratitude to UPS drivers, who are working harder than ever during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the program—which runs until June 27—Lenny & Larry’s will donate one cookie for every $2 a customer spends on its website. The cookies are meant as a sweet treat for UPS essential delivery employees to keep them energized with a protein-packed snack during their work shifts, and to brighten their day.

“While brainstorming ideas for our April Food’s Day donation, a campaign where Lenny & Larry’s donated product to Feed The Children instead of playing a joke, our team reflected on the true unsung heroes who have been working endlessly to make sure we get all our deliveries safely transported while practicing the stay-at-home measures,” Megan Crossland, Lenny & Larry’s Vice President of Marketing, told VegNews. “A Lenny & Larry’s employee left cookies and water out for her delivery drivers to great reception and instantly we knew it was a great way to expand our donation efforts during these unforeseen times. It was a no-brainer to provide our delicious protein treats as a thank you and we are thrilled to partner with UPS so their delivery drivers receive some added appreciation.”

The goal is to donate 50,000 cookies to UPS drivers. Lenny & Larry’s will be tracking donations on its website.
