This summer, vegan food manufacturer Atlantic Natural Foods—under its Loma Linda line of plant-based products—is launching new Hawaiian Bowls and Ultimate Vegetarian Chili exclusively at Costco across the United States. The Hawaiian Bowls feature fried brown rice with pineapple, bell pepper, peas, ginger, and soy protein, while the Ultimate Vegetarian Chili features pinto beans, red kidney beans, soy protein, tomatoes, and spices.
“In 2016, we committed to bringing tasty, shelf-stable, better-for-you, portable foods to the world at a good value, and we’re pleased to experience a 40-percent sales increase year over year,” J. Douglas Hines, Atlantic Natural Foods chairman, said. “In seeing our strongest numbers to date in 2020 with more and more people seeking plant-based and shelf-stable options, we’re committed to continue innovating to meet growing consumer demand—all while maintaining the safety and well-being of our employees.”
The two new shelf-stable, plant-based Meal Solution products will be available in packages of six 10-ounce pouches. The products will start rolling out to 30 Costco stores in the Northwest, beginning with the Hawaiian Bowl, before expanding throughout the country this summer.
