In October, dairy snack company ParmCrisps will launch its first fully vegan line of cheese snacks exclusively at Whole Foods Markets—and through its parent company Amazon. To make its entry into the growing plant-based cheese category—which saw an 18-percent spike in sales since 2019—ParmCrisps worked closely with Whole Foods to develop its oven-baked vegan line in two flavors: Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper.

“The ParmCrisps innovation strategy has always been developed with the consumer top-of-mind,” ParmCrisps CEO Sam Kestenbaum said. “When we noticed a trend toward plant-based snacking, we partnered with Whole Foods to create a solution for both our consumers and our retail partners. Plant-Based ParmCrisps is that solution, and it tastes so good that we’re confident both mainstream and plant-based consumers will fall in love.”

Whole Foods and Amazon will have an exclusive on the sale of the plant-based ParmCrisps—which will retail for $4.79 per 1.75-ounce bag—throughout 2020.
