America’s Largest Veg Festival Hits Chicago This Weekend

Congressman Bill Foster to launch the Veggie Fest festivities with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting.

Illinois Congressman Bill Foster and Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico will open the 11th annual Veggie Fest, taking place this weekend in Lisle, IL outside of Chicago. The vegetarian food and lifestyle festival—the largest in the country—includes a plant-based food court, cooking demonstrations by some of Chicago’s premiere chefs, live bands, children’s entertainment, and more than 100 vendor booths. Speakers include past president of the American College of Cardiology Kim Williams, famed Chicago restaurateur/cookbook author Karyn Calabrese, and Chicago Vegan Mania founder Marla Rose.
