The Ghost in Our Machine made headlines during its Canadian release earlier this year as filmmaker Liz Marshall set out to answer the question, “Are non-human animals property to be owned and used, or are they sentient beings deserving of rights?” According to an announcement on its official website, the film will begin screening in the US in early November. High-profile names such as Bob Barker, Jason Priestley, and James Cromwell have expressed their support for the animal-welfare film, and New York City screenings will begin November 8. Locals in Los Angeles will be able to see the film by mid-November, and The Ghost in Our Machine will also be shown in San Francisco and Boston later this fall.
