Aussie Veg Menu Boosts

Veggie options on menus are becoming increasingly appealing to diners.

We’ve all been in this unpleasant situation before: You’re dining at a restaurant and the only veggie option is, well, lackluster to say the least. Limp iceberg lettuce salads are moving toward becoming a distant memory, according to a recent survey conducted by Restaurant and Catering Australia. Partnered with National Vegetarian Week, the survey found that of the food service businesses surveyed, 56 percent said they were whipping up more veg-friendly options than they have in years past. A third of those surveyed said 30 percent of main courses were vegetarian. Additionally, chefs reported being confident in their vegetarian cooking, proven with their own vegetarian menu creations. The Aussie restaurant scene sounds both delicious and brilliant.
