Former CEO of Lush Cosmetics Cecilia Blochberger partnered with her sister Susanna Paller to recently open Austria’s first ever completely cruelty-free ice cream shop in the country’s capital of Vienna. With the combined experience of more than two decades working in the vegan community and after introducing the animal-friendly cosmetic company Lush to Central European markets, the siblings are no strangers to compassionate living. Blochberger and Paller were inspired by their own sweet cravings. “Ever since becoming vegan we have been missing one thing, great tasting ice cream … we wanted to offer cruelty free, dairy-free ice cream without giving up on great taste,” Blochberger says. Veganista ice cream parlor is located in the city’s Seventh district at Neustiftgasse 23.
