Cancer-causing Meat and Dairy

Study shows red meat promotes cancer.

Omnivores on the fence about veganism now have another reason to jump to the flesh-free side. The National Cancer Institute has confirmed that the consumption of red meat and dairy products can contribute to an increased risk in cancer. The dangerous cancer-causing cellular molecule, N-glyolyneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc), naturally occurs in lamb, pork, and beef, posing a health threat to humans once consumed. Although the molecule is a type of glycan, or sugar molecule, it isn’t such a sweet protein source after all.
