H&M Cosmetics Phasing Out Animal-Hair Brushes

Clothing and cosmetics company H&M has announced plans to remove all animal hair from its makeup brushes by 2017. The company explained the decision in a statement that said, “There are so many high-quality, cruelty-free options available today, so we have decided to take the step and phase out the animal deriving hair from our Beauty range.” H&M’s move away from using brushes made with animal hair follows an announcement last year that they would stop testing their line of more than 700 cosmetics on animals. Until next year, compassionate consumers who want to support H&M should read the packaging labels to ensure purchases don’t contain animal hair.
