No, it’s not ironic that singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette has spoke out about her 20-pound weight loss after adopting a vegan diet—she’s utterly sincere. The long-locked, 34-year-old musician ditched meat and dairy after reading Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s Eat to Live—a book promoting the health benefits of a plant-based diet—to find a regime dedicated to disease prevention and weight loss. Morissette recently voiced her lifestyle change to OK! Magazine, saying “I feel like a 12-year-old! … Now I jump out of bed and have so much energy; I feel very alive.” Thanks to no longer consuming animal products, the singer shouldn’t have a problem exercising her pipes for our enjoyment.
