Native Foods Café will open up to eight new restaurants by 2014. The vegan chain currently has 14 locations on the West coast and Chicago, and will make its East coast debut with a restaurant in Washington DC. Cities across the US, including Dallas and Denver, will also soon be able to enjoy meat-free fare at the fast-casual diner. By the end of next year, Native Foods Café plans to have 45 locations nationally, and 200 restaurants open by the second half of 2017. “We’re really excited because if we can make a difference and change the way people eat — even if it’s just one meal a week — that’s terrific,” co-owner Andrea McGinty tells The Desert Sun.
