Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, a vegan, cruelty-free makeup company, opened the doors of its flagship store in New York City last month. Shoppers can enjoy an array of high-quality beauty products—such as shimmery eye shadow, professional application brushes, and bright lip pigment—formulated without the use of animal testing or by-products. The store’s opening gala featured vegan fare like meat-free chicken wings and enjoyed visits from celebrities like Project Runway’s Gretchen Jones. “[Animal] testing has become unfashionable and less cost-effective,” the beauty brand says on its website. “OCC felt it was necessary to raise the bar on this issue.”
