Newkirk Launches Latest Book

There may be no better place to launch an animal rights book than a vegan restaurant, which is just what People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) President Ingrid Newkirk did Sunday, July 12. Hosted in the ever-popular and elegant Sublime Natural & Organic Restaurant & Bar, guests sipped wine while listening to Newkirk discuss her experiences with PETA. After enjoying Sublime’s hors d’oeuvres, guests chatted one-on-one with Newkirk and received signed copies of her book, The PETA Practical Guide to Animal Rights, now available nationwide. A night of wine, delicious food, intelligent conversation, and books? Sublime, indeed.
