Obama Against Utah Drilling

Obama’s slogan may be “yes we can,” but it’s likely he’ll say, “Oh, no you can’t” to Bush’s Utah drilling plans. The President-elect is hoping to move quickly to reverse the Bush administration’s push to expand oil and gas drilling in Utah canyons. “[The Republicans] want to have oil and gas drilling in some of the most sensitive, fragile lands in Utah that they’re going to try to do right as they are walking out the door,” Obama’s transitional team leader John Podesta said. “I think that’s a mistake.” It seems the end of an error is finally in sight.
