PETA Names This Year’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebs

Celebrity couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard were recently dubbed 2013’s “Sexiest Celebrity Vegetarians” by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Bell, who is currently amid production for the upcoming Veronica Mars film, has been meat-free since her adolescent years. “I had a hard time disassociating the animals I cuddled with—dogs and cats, for example—from the animals on my plate, and I never really cared for the taste of meat,” says the actress on PETA’s website. Bell eventually switched to a fully plant-based diet and her fiancé Shepard followed her lead last January. Since then, he has experienced veganism’s innumerable health benefits, “I have fewer body aches” he said to Playboy last September. “My skin looks better. I’m never starving, and I never need to ride the couch feeling completely full and disgusting.”

On June 27, Shepard declined PETA’s award on the grounds that he was no longer a vegetarian.
