Rehoboth Beach VegFest Set to Take Place June 1

Delaware-area residents will be able to sample fare from veg vendors and listen to veganism’s leading advocates at this free event.

Delaware’s first Rehoboth Beach VegFest is set to take place on Saturday, June 1. The event will focus on educating residents of the Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia areas on the benefits of compassionate eating, while showcasing food from local veg businesses Cake Break, Modern Mixture, and others. The Rehoboth Beach VegFest will feature speakers that range from activists such as Paul Shapiro, vice president of Farm Animal Protection at The Humane Society of the United States, to culinary experts such as Executive Chef Gretchen Hanson of Hobos Restaurant. The first 300 people to arrive will get delectable free samples and goodie bags full of cruelty-free gifts.
