Samuel L. Jackson is a Hollywood powerhouse and a staple for the Marvel movie universe. The 65-year-old actor has starred in six of the comic company’s features as the diabolical Nick Fury, his latest being Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Jackson’s workload could be taxing, but he’s never looked healthier. “It’s a new vegan diet,” he told reporters. “Just trying to live forever. Trying to finish out my Marvel deal.” Jackson is one of many show-business stars who has eliminated meat from his diet. Terminator and Titanic director James Cameron announced he was following a plant-based diet in 2012, actors Casey Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix are long-time advocates of cruelty-free eating, and last year Beyoncé and her beau Jay-Z took a 22-day vegan challenge.
