Singer Leona Lewis Says “No” to Animal-Testing

The entertainer lends her star power to a good cause, partnering with The Humane Society of the United States.

Leona Lewis may be known for her power vocals and strong ballads, but she’s using her voice for another cause: to speak out against cosmetic companies that conduct animal testing. She joins a large star-studded crew along with The Humane Society of the United States as part of the organization’s Be Cruelty-Free USA campaign and its celebration of International Rabbit Day. “Ending animal testing for cosmetics is close to my heart … it breaks my heart to know there are thousands of rabbits who are … suffering a terrible fate to test cosmetics,” Lewis said in a statement. Cosmetic testing on animals is already banned in Europe, Israel, and India.
