After being bullied for her decision to live a more compassionate life, Tia Mowry of 90s sitcom Sister, Sister decided to team up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for an ad titled, “Let Veganism Grow on You”. The actress––who dons an apron made of lettuce and other vegetables in the campaign––and her husband recently went vegan, citing inspiration from Alicia Silverstone’s The Kind Diet. In a behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot, Mowry talks about addressing misconceptions of vegan food by introducing an omnivore friend to southern California’s Café Gratitude, and showcases his newfound obsession with the cruelty-free fare. “I wanted to educate my culture about the benefits of becoming vegan … don’t knock it until you try it,” the actress shares.
