Veg society campaigns for meat-free holy land.

For a more genuine nirvana, Tibetans for a Vegetarian Society are encouraging citizens to adopt a vegetarian diet within Bodh Gaya—the city in India where Buddha attained enlightenment—in an effort to make the holy land, well, holier. According to ancient teachings, Lord Buddha practiced non-violence toward all living beings, prompting the activist group to launch a campaign asking locals and tourists to abstain from buying, selling, or consuming any meat in the area, especially during pilgrimage tours. Cheers to stomping out uncompassionate lifestyles (and contradiction!).
