Vegan sweets company Obsessive Confection Disorder garnered a spot on internet dining guide Zagat’s list of “16 Food Artisans You Need to Know From Around the US.” The California-based OCD refers to its team as “Vegan Caramel Whisperers” who pride themselves on their ethically inspired candy craftsmanship. Customers can purchase goodies like IPA caramel with crunchy salted pretzels, vanilla bean salt and caramel bars, and Caramel ‘Not’ Corn (made with coconut and rice) from OCD’s online store. Joining OCD on Zagat’s list is Washington DC’s Bazaar Spices, Philadelphia’s Urban Garden Chocolate Bars, and Chicago’s Rare Tea Cellar.
