Vegan Hospital Food

In an effort to offer patients healthy, tasty food, Feather River Hospital in Paradise, Calif., has opened Garden Fresh Bistro, an all vegan restaurant, in its cafeteria. Hospital representatives say that the restaurant has been a big success, and that everyone from employees to community residents are visiting and enjoying the food. Currently, the restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Friday, 11am to 3pm, and menu items include veggie wraps, sandwiches, soups, and entrées, including lasagna, enchiladas, and potpies. The hospital chose to make the entire menu vegan after discovering the many health benefits gained from eating a vegan diet.
