11 Best Vegan Thanksgiving Instagram Posts

From quinoa stuffing to pumpkin pie smoothies, we’ve rounded up the most like-worthy Thanksgiving posts on Instagram.

As much as we love spending quality time with family and friends, we don’t love the dead animals served at Thanksgiving, which makes the holiday something of a conundrum for vegans. However, things are changing as the veg community has reclaimed the November feast, allowing us to proudly take our seats at dinner tables in front of towering plates of oven-roasted veggies, savory stuffing, chunky mashed potatoes (if you prefer smooth, you’re wrong), and maybe a Tofurky roast. Regardless of your Turk’y-Day ritual, the time to plan is now. Luckily, we’ve scoured Instagram and comprised what we think will help you have the best #VeganThanksgiving ever.

 1. @essentiallivingfoods’ gluten-free sweet potato quinoa stuffing is studded with apples, Brazil nuts, and cranberries—seasoned with cinnamon, coconut nectar, garlic, and onion. We’d eat this in a sandwich, as stuffing muffins, or by the heaping spoonful.

2. @peaceful_provisions made the wise decision to pack all the flavors of Thanksgiving into a perfectly-sized edible bowl. Pretzel stuffing, herb gravy, sautéed kale, and maple-chipotle roasted butternut squash are drizzled with cranberry sauce and sour cream before getting stuffed into cauliflower-potato waffle bowls.

3. @greensageblog’s roasted Brussels sprouts with creamy cashew-based lemon-garlic aioli dipping sauce are so good it’s hard to understand why they’d ever be considered just a side dish.

I served small plates at my party, including these roasted Brussels Sprouts with a vegan creamy cashew-based Lemon Garlic Aioli dipping sauce that is out of this world. The aioli recipe came from @yumuniverse, my favorite food blog. You can find the recipe online there. The lemon and garlic make a perfect accompaniment to the bittersweet flavor of the roasted sprouts. Perfect 💜 They were a huge hit 😊😋 #vegan #glutenfree #glutenfreevegan #plantbased #wholefoods #healthy #delicious #brusselssprouts #lemon #garlic #veganfood #whatveganseat #eatplants #healthyandhappy #yummy #veganparty #healthyvegan #veganfoodlovers #eatyourveggies #partyfood #vegansofig #veganeats #eatlikeyouloveyourself #fallveggies #homemade #madewithlove #yumuniverse

4. @fitveganchef not only made kale chips festively-flavored with pumpkin purée, maple syrup, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg but she also added a maple-tahini chocolate drizzle. These delicious treats sound too good to be true, but we’re willing to sample one (or three) to verify their authenticity.

I absolutely love fall… the cool crisp air, the changing 🍁leaves, and of course pumpkin everything! Crunchy, chewy, chocolaty and packed with pumpkin flavor, these Spiced Kale Chips are the perfect snack for the season. A @aveganmantroop and I had a blast creating these for @cheflana of choosingvegan.com go and check the recipe(link under my bio). #vegandessert #vegan #vegansofig #whatveganseat #vegangirl #veganfood #veganfoodporn #govegan #veganism #veganlife #vegansofinstagram #vegan #veganlifestyle #veganbreakfast #veganthanksgiving #fallrecipes #crueltyfree #raw #rawvegan #hicarb #lowfat #healthy #plantbased #kalechips #pumpkin #healthysnacks #healthy #pumpkinspiced #vegandessert #vegansnack #easyveganrecipe #easytoberaw #fullyraw

5. @umamigirl took Yukon Gold and sweet potatoes, crimini mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, lentils, and chickpeas to create an earthy vegan shepherd’s pie that we’re adding to our repertoire for the holidays, birthdays, Wednesdays, dentist appointments …

6. @crueltyfreefood takes a classic approach to vegan Thanksgiving sides thanks to a savory vegetable broth, smooth sour cream, and rich butter melt. This combination creates a shimmery, decadent sauce for what can only be described as perfect flavor bombs.

7. @wickedhealthy shows us that Thanksgiving feasts don’t have to be an intimidating all-day affairs. Field Roast’s Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute is stuffed with Field Roast sausage, crystallized ginger, cranberries, and apples, then wrapped in savory puff pastry. Voila—dinner is done!

8. @piepiemydarling’s classic pumpkin pies are beautiful enough to make us book a flight to Chicago to pick one up.

9. @tallulahalexandra’s pumpkin-spiced s’mores pops with vegan marshmallows, melty dark chocolate, and graham cracker cookie crumble are as pretty as they are tasty.

10. @marmaladegrenade is to thank for this Apple Spice Pull Apart Loaf with Caramel Bourbon Glaze. Made from simple ingredients such as pre-made pizza dough and apple sauce, all you need is 35 minutes in the oven, a quick but luscious dairy-free caramel sauce, and you’ve got yourself a sweet holiday treat sure to satisfy the whole family.

11. @countcolorsnotcalories has the right idea for the morning after Thanksgiving when you’re just not ready to let go of the pumpkin. Frozen banana, guava, almond milk, pumpkin purée, and pumpkin pie spice combine to let you enjoy the indulgent flavors of your favorite holiday pie without worrying about your waistline.
