Washington DC residents will be able to get faux fried chicken on-the-go with the launch of the soul food restaurant Everlasting Life Café’s new food truck, Woodlands Vegan Bistro. According to the Washington Post, the truck’s owners Vernon and Mickiyah Woodland reported that the mobile menu will rotate regularly, but they also may serve the brick and mortar establishment’s popular comfort classics, such as the “Chick’n” Sandwich and macaroni and cheese, along with healthful sides and beverages such as kale salad, juices, and smoothies. The news source notes that one of Woodland’s greatest appeals, besides the food itself, are the large portions that could “rival a Thanksgiving dinner.”
