Famous customer-sourced survey and restaurant guide Zagat listed “Five Vegan Dishes Worth Ditching the Dairy and Eggs For” on its website Thursday in honor of World Vegan Day and the 68th anniversary of the term “vegan.” The website’s eclectic slideshow included #1 vegetarian restaurant in the 2013 Zagat Guide, Millennium Restaurant’s sage and pear brûlée, Gracias Madre’s QUESADILLAS DE CALABAZA, Pepples Donut Farm’s seasonal doughnuts, Berkeley spot Gather’s vegan charcuterie plate, and Source’s vegan pizza. The guide hailed the chosen dishes as good enough to “make you consider going vegan.”
