Worldwide Bake Sales

This weekend, the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale kicks off, bringing together folks looking to satisfy a sweet tooth—whether they be vegan or yet-to-be vegan! Ninety-five vegan bake sale events are scheduled to take place between April 24 and May 2, from São Paulo, Brazil; San José, Costa Rica; London, England; Vancouver, Canada; to Houston, Texas. All of the event proceeds will go to an animal-advocacy cause chosen by the bake-sale organizers, such as Animal Aid Abroad, Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association, and to the victims of the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. Last year, more than $25,000 was raised.
