Mistletoe Shots
These coconut-melon faux-gelatin shots are green like the kiss-inspiring holiday plant that they’re named after.

The time-honored Jell-O shot gets a cruelty-free makeover for celebrating the holidays or ringing in the New Year.
Makes 10 servings
What you need:
1 cup water
1 cup coconut milk
1 3-ounce packet Lieber’s Unflavored Jel
1 cup coconut-flavored rum
1/2 cup Green Midori liqueur or Green Chartreuse
Green food coloring (optional)
What you do:
- In a medium pan, combine water and coconut milk, bringing mixture to a boil.
- Mix 1/2 packet of Lieber’s Jel into hot water and coconut milk, and stir mixture to dissolve. Stir in coconut rum, Midori, and optional food coloring until desired color is reached. Divide among 10 2-ounce cups. Refrigerate cups until gelatin has set. Serve cold on a holiday serving tray.
