DrJays.com Markets Real Fur Clothing as Faux Fur

The Humane Society of the United States has filed a petition to the Federal Trade Commission against the online urban clothing retailer drjays.com. According to results from independent laboratory tests funded by the HSUS, clothing items sold by drjays.com with material that is labeled as faux fur, also included real fur from raccoons dogs and rabbits. This is a violation of the Fur Products Labeling Act and a 2013 FTC enforcement order. In 2011, HSUS encountered the same illegal labeling problem with drjays.com and other clothing retailers, which spurred the FTC to issue cease and desist orders to the companies. If it is found guilty, drjays.com may face a $16,000 fine for each violation of FTC orders.
