Best-selling cookbook author, Isa Chandra Moskowitz, debuts her Modern Love eatery today—the city’s very first full-service vegan restaurant. Billed as “swanky vegan comfort food in Omaha, Nebraska”, the farm-to-table cuisine features everything from a quinoa Caesar salad with tempeh croutons and seitan marsala over mashed root vegetables to jalapeno corn fritters and herb-infused lemonades. Seasonal pies, tarts, and cheesecakes—always served with housemade ice cream—round out the rustic-meets-elegant menu.
