Liam Hemsworth, star of The Hunger Games and ex-fiancé of Miley Cyrus, has announced his veganism in a new interview with Men’s Fitness magazine. The Australian actor said that after having a blood-diet analysis that recommended upping his intake of red meat, he was feeling worse than ever. Only after switching to a plant-based diet did he start to feel better. “There are no negatives to eating like this,” Hemsworth said. “I feel nothing but positive—mentally, and physically. I love it.” Hemsworth attributes his motivation to making the change to both his personal health and having learned about mistreatment of animals—he even went on to discuss the new love of his life, his new rescue dog Tani. “She’s awesome … I’m a big advocate of pet rescue. Especially in California. If you’re going to get a dog, get a rescue.”
