People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals recently announced its 2015 list of Top Five Vegan Food Trucks in the US, highlighting the best meatless mobile eateries from coast to coast. This year’s winners represent a wide range of creative culinary styles, from Southern soul food to Mexican fusion. Top spots went to (in no particular order) Santa Rosa, California’s Seed on the Go; Louisville, Kentucky’s V-Grits; Hartford, Connecticut’s GMonkey; Austin, Texas’ BBQ Revolution; and South Lyon, Michigan’s Shimmy Shack. Offering everything from sweet potato enchiladas to The Elvis shake (chocolate, banana and peanut butter), vegan food trucks are more popular than ever, catering to both vegans and omnivores alike.
