Top Chef television host Padma Lakshmi is making up for “bad behavior with good behavior” by eating mostly plant-based between shoots of her popular TV show. At home, the single mother says her favorite meals consist of lentil and beans, tomato-based stews, lots of greens, and fresh ingredients like garlic, ginger, chilies, and cilantro. Also a brand ambassador for MorningStar Farms Just What the World Ordered tour, she recently signed the Veg of Allegiance pledge to swap meat for vegetables at least five times per week—and encourages others to do the same.
