MOD Pizza—the “made-on-demand” pizza eatery with 53 locations across the country—is now offering Daiya cheese at all of its restaurants. The national chain, founded in Seattle in 2008, told VegNews that they decided to add a plant-based cheese to the menu “based on feedback from customers,” along with the fact that there are more than 120 million people in the United States who don’t consume dairy. MOD Pizza also recently added house-roasted garlic and seasonal vegetables to the menu in order to expand its vegan toppings, and gluten-free crusts remain available. The chain plans to have more than 100 locations by the end of 2015, which means custom-made vegan pizza may be coming to your hometown soon.
