Vegan Restaurant To Host Los Angeles Fundraiser

During a time when many dog and cat organizations serve meat at their events, PAWS/LA is keeping its message consistent with a vegan fundraiser September 26 at West Hollywood’s Crossroads Kitchen. Called “Design the Night,” the event allows diners to witness the creative processes of some of Southern California’s elite designers—including national tastemaker Annette English, who is hosting the vegan gathering. Attendees will feast on dishes such as spicy meatball flatbread with almond ricotta and calabrese peppers, with proceeds going directly to PAWS/LA’s Abigail Fund—which provides vital support for companion animals with extraordinary needs such as emergency surgery, ongoing chronic disease, and specialized care for life-threatening conditions. “I am honored to be hosting a dinner for ‘Design the Night,’” English says. “PAWS/LA is a wonderful organization that does such great things for the community. It will be a lovely evening, supporting a great organization.”
