After being challenged to go vegan for 30 days, comedian Jon Stewart recently expressed his adoration for Minnesota vegan butcher shop The Herbivorous Butcher with a letter in which he stated his love for their products and several photos of him devouring their vegan cheese. After his retirement from The Daily Show, Stewart and his vegan wife Tracey converted their New Jersey property into the fourth location of Farm Sanctuary and were honored for their compassion at the New York Gala hosted by the organization in October. Minneapolis-based The Herbivorous Butcher—which sells vegan versions of deli meats, cheeses, steaks, ribs, and more—is headed by sibling team Kale and Aubry Walch and opened in January 2016 to long times, rave reviews, and (apparently) famous fans.
