The Nutrinic LIPPD plant-based diet support program launched this month to help new vegans attain skills to maintain their lifestyles with the help of vegan nutrition professionals. “Interest in vegan diets is at an all-time high, with a growing list of documentaries, doctors, and top-level athletes espousing the benefits,” program lead registered dietitian Matt Ruscigno said, “yet most people simply don’t know where to begin or [how] to overcome the challenges of eating well. LIPPD goes beyond knowledge and teaches the skills for long-term success without being overly restrictive. Our philosophy is skill-power over willpower!” The six-week online program aims to reach the 86 million American adults currently diagnosed with prediabetes and others interested in eschewing animal products. For $399, participants will be privy to 15 video courses that detail the health benefits of a plant-based diet, three hours of one-on-one sessions with vegan dietitians, and a database of whole-foods, plant-based recipes. “This has never been done before,” Ruscigno said, “and we’re really excited to help get people healthy.”
