Nickelodeon Star Launches Facebook Vegan Video Series

Actress and longtime vegan Daniella Monet—known for her role as Trina Vega on Nickelodeon’s comedy series Victorious—recently launched a vegan video series on Facebook. Monet created the video cooking series, entitled “D Takes Your V Card,” with the aim of making vegan food more palatable to her meat eating-followers. “I’ve been one hundo percento plant-based, aka vegan, for almost 16 years,” Monet said on the show’s Facebook page. “So many people think it’s nearly impossible to have an entire meal, let alone lifetime, without their favorite meats and dairy packed foods—I’m here to prove them wrong! Who wants me to take their V Card?” The short episodes focus on creating filling vegan breakfasts and a dairy-free version of the popular pumpkin-spice latte, and features guest stars such as The Bachelor contestant Ashley Iaconetti.
