Popular vegan restaurant by CHLOE will open its first Rhode Island location in Providence early this summer. The expanding by CHLOE brand—co-founded by Samantha Wasser and vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli—is supported by New York City-based financial institution ESquared Hospitality. The brand opened its flagship location in New York’s West Village neighborhood in 2014, and quickly expanded to a total of four New York locations (with two others in the works), a Los Angeles eatery nestled within a Whole Foods 365 store, and a Sweets by Chloe bakery. A brand representative tells VegNews, “by CHLOE looks forward to bringing its signature vegan menu and hospitality to Rhode Island diners.” Signage for the Providence restaurant has already been installed at 223 Thayer Street, and menu details—including specialty location-specific dishes—are still in the works. The restaurant’s’ first Boston location will open tomorrow in the Seaport neighborhood, with a second location planned for the city’s Fenway neighborhood this April.
