Non-vegan restaurant Chalk Point Kitchen launched a special vegan-friendly tasting menu for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) on February 9. Founder Matt Levine partnered with fashion media brand Coveteur to introduce the plant-based menu to cater to his health-conscious clientele, including models Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, musician Kanye West, and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi. The menu (made vegan upon request) will feature dishes such as the Twice Baked Avocado made with sesame, ginger, cayenne, lime, and gluten-free breadcrumbs; the Fresh Turmeric Roasted Cauliflower Steak served with quinoa, pomegranate, and wilted kale; and a gluten-free Vegan Beet-Red Velvet Brownie drizzled with a maple glaze. The restaurant was the first in the country to offer chlorophyll water, and its innovative Black Magic Cocktail (made with activated charcoal, Stolichnaya vodka, champagne, and pressed Meyer lemon juice) will be offered during NYFW until February 16.
